"My elk hunt with Ethan and Hunt the West was an experience I'll never forget. I used to think that applying for hunts was a shot in the dark, and I didn't really know what to do with my points. But after consulting with Hunt the West, I learned that if you don’t apply, you’ll never draw. Ethan’s expert knowledge helped me apply for the right hunts based on my goals, and for the first time, I was actually drawn and able to harvest an incredible bull. "

Hunting with Shane, Ethan and White Mountain Trophy Outfitters was an awesome experience shooting my first bear. I worried about my capability being a little older and not as mobile as I used to be. Without insulting me Shane and Ethan tailored my hunt to fit my ability. I was able to sit a stand over a game trail with my son and four year old grandson which made this a special time we’ll never forget. Shane and Ethan were obviously knowledgeable and capable guides. As I got to know both of them they were fun guys to be around too. On the fourth evening of my hunt we sat a game trail paralleling a stream in a small ravine. I sat about 100 yards above the trail and watched the stream in both directions not knowing which direction the bear would come in from. With only about five minutes of shooting light left and to our surprise two bears had come up from behind us to a distance of 25 yards. At this point things this got hectic for me and happened quick. I stood up to turn around which naturally spooked the bear, but I was able to zero in on a boar at about 70 yards that stopped for a brief moment to look back. With one shot I took my first bear. My son and grandson were standing beside me. I admit that I got choked up a bit. It could not of happened better being with my son, grandson and with two of my newest friends. Thank you for this opportunit
