• Unit 1: Burn country, thick timber, and transition zones — known for glassing and big bulls hiding in dark timber.

• Unit 27: Steep canyons, wilderness terrain, and classic late-season elk habitat. Rugged and rewarding.

• Expect deep canyons, steep ridges, pine forests, and snow

• Wall tent camps or cabin lodging depending on location and weather
