West Texas Aoudad Hunt
Aoudad hunting in the rugged mountains of West Texas offers one of the most challenging—and rewarding—hunts in the state. The terrain is unforgiving, with steep slopes, rocky outcroppings, extreme heat, and dense thorny vegetation. These North African sheep have adapted exceptionally well to this harsh environment, closely resembling their native habitat.
This is a true spot-and-stalk hunt, requiring persistence, physical endurance, and long hours of hiking and glassing in pursuit of a mature ram.
